They were late for a family member’s birthday party, but he was insistent that they should picnic along the coast of northern California, where she had grown up. They had met through mutual friends at a progressive dinner at organic gardens, which they traveled to by bicycle. And by now, Danny knew that Blakeley was the one he wanted by his side for the rest of life’s adventures. With his knowledge of the tides tables, a caution to not get swept away by the waves like others had, and a ring tied to his belt so he wouldn’t lose it, he surprised her by getting down on one knee and proposing! Needless to say, Blakeley said yes!
So here they were, about to say yes together in front of their family and friends! Despite the sudden thunderstorm that quickly passed by, it was as the maid of honor said, the best wedding ever!
Danny’s father made all of the wood burnt signs to direct the guests!
Lots of little children and baby cuteness was going on!
This vintage, lace wedding dress was borrowed from her aunt!
Blakeley’s hair and makeup by Angela Nunnink was so perfect for naturally pretty style!
I’m kind of obsessed with brides and grooms having a First Look! It’s just so special when they can have a private moment to themselves and just be together before all the craziness of the day really gets going! Blakeley and Danny were no less sweet, and he was so in love with her and her beauty!
There were so many pretty areas around this private estate, and we were all just loving these red sunflowers in the garden!
Blakeley was able to buy flowers at Meadow Vista Flowers and Berry Farm and have a friend put together these pretty, wildflower bouquets!
The two, cute ringbearers carried these matching clay pots with the rings tied with love knots!
The love knot that decorated the chuppah and parasols to shade the guests!
Gong ringers sounded out the bell that Danny had made out of an old diving unit to signal the start of the ceremony!
Married!
Thunder sounded in the distance during the ceremony and arrived along with lightening and pouring rain as we ended the bridal party pictures. For many this could ruin their day, but the hard work of Farm to Table Catering managing, the party was back on!
Danny created this brand with their initials, and his father created all these wooden flower boxes and guest favors! So perfect along with the vintage dinnerware and glasses from Pretty Plates!
Sweetheart table and the cutest cake made by their friend!
So so loved working alongside Jennifer from Farm to Table! She was absolutely amazing and took each challenge in stride!
Blakeley and Danny knew they wanted their favorite woodfired pizza from the farmer’s market to be there on their day. So The Pizza Company drove up from Sacramento, setup their oven, and proceeded to make these amazing pizzas!
A cake wasn’t enough for these two, they had a strawberry shortcake bar for their guests to finish the beautiful, garden wedding experience!
