Yes, we did get the usual full on smiling pictures, but the more serious ones show off Paige’s sweet, thoughtful side and her beautiful eyes! Loved being able to get together for makeup styling before her senior portraits. Wanting to be in nature, the rain storms we scheduled around made for a the perfect, vibrant green backdrop!
So fun styling these sisters with hair and makeup, going for that editorial glow, before their shoot! It had been overcast and dark then started to sprinkle rain as we arrived at our location. But you’d never know it with their smiles and model looks!
You might not even be able to tell, but the rain really started coming down so these model looks are through the rain drops!
Sometimes the last minute shoots work out best! Between all her senior classes, work, and a deadline for printing awesome graduation announcements, we were able to find the one afternoon to fit in Sage’s shoot! You probably can’t even tell that many of these favorites were shot after sunset as a storm rolled into town! Love that Sage could just go with the flow and make everything look as effortless as her natural beauty!
Sometimes as a creative you just have to be creative for creativity’s sake! I love using the winter and early spring months to set up a lifestyle shoot to keep those juices flowing and not become stagnant. Sometimes it’s putting together something to expand my portfolio and other times developing new skills! So when Jess from Polish & Pout told me that one of our favorite Roseville locations was filled with a field of beautiful wildflowers, I grabbed my first available date to make something happen
Our model, Alex, was amazing and did her own styling from her Lavender & Lace Vintage shop! She and her sister search for vintage clothing that they can update to create new modern pieces!
You can’t even tell that she’s standing in the rain!
As always, Polish & Pout never lets me down! Jessica’s hair and makeup skills blow me away!
After getting completely soaked, we loaded up the car and started driving toward the sunshine. Right down the road, the clouds opened up to show off this rainbow!
I felt like I was at an Anthropologie lifestyle shoot! Just love everything about it!
While weddings definitely have my heart, senior portraits are like icing on the cake for me! And they’re even more amazing when it’s an old friend who is getting ready to finish her senior year of college! SaraRose is one of the sweetest and most encouraging girls you’ll ever meet, and I’m so excited to have been able to spend a day creating some beautiful portraits to capture this time in her life!
I love for my seniors to have an amazing experience from beginning to end and feel their most confident, so we started out at the studio of Polish & Pout for a little makeup prep with Jessica!
At her mom’s suggestion, we toured around Whitney Oaks and found the most beautiful locations and light!
And we couldn’t be nearby without walking around downtown Roseville and the iconic Tower theater!
I’m so glad SaraRose decided to get new BJU senior portraits instead of just using the ones from high school. You change so much during your college experience, and it shows! I think there’s even talks of these working for when she sends out resumes!
